Of course the dream is NASCAR for most racers, and Mark was no different. He returned to NASCAR in the Busch Series . His win in Dover, Delaware, got him noticed by Jack Roush who is still his car owner to date.

He has set records by winning five IROC titles and thirteen of their races. Although he was going to retire in 2005, with the Nextel Cup eluding him, he is determined to focus on it and make it a win in 2006 since his car owner asked him to stay.

Once he as finished the season, Mark Martin wants to help his son with his career in racing. It is planned that Todd Kleuver will take his place in the AAA Ford Fusion #6 car once he retires.
