    After the church leadership is driven out of Rome during an armed conflict, Pius VII becomes pope in a ceremony in Venice. Because of the conflict the traditional papal tiara was still in Rome and Pius VII was crowned with a tiara made of papier-mâché.
  • March 21st 1413 : Henry V becomes King of England
    Henry V ascends to the throne of England. He is credited as the first king to consolidate the kingdoms of England and France under one crown. He would reign for only nine years.
