The Low Down on Lindsay Lohan

Starting at the tender of age of three as a Ford model, Lindsay Lohan began her career with more than 60 commercials. When she was ten, Lindsay broke into television on the soap opera Another World. At twelve Lindsay Lohan was cast as the infamous twins on the Disney classic remake of The Parent Trap. This debut in movies earned Lohan the Best Leading Young Actress in a Feature Film award and nominations for Blockbuster Entertainment and YoungStar awards.

Returning to made for TV movies, Lindsay completed Life Size and Get a Clue. After these, Lohan decided to take a break from acting to start a musical career in 2001. Lindsay made a deal for five albums with Estefan Enterprises in 2002 and landed a recording contract with Casablanca Records.

Lindsay Lohan couldn’t leave movies altogether. In 2003 she is featured as the daughter in the Disney remake of Freaky Friday which earned her the MTV award of Best Breakthrough Female and nominations for a Saturn award and yet one more Young Artist award. Continuing her working relationship with Disney, Lindsay Lohan then appeared in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen in 2004. After that film did not do well, she worked on Mean Girls with the same director from Freaky Friday. Because Mean Girls did so well, Lindsay Lohan was christened as an actress who could bring in the box office reviews and was offered $7.5 million for her next film Just My Luck.

Rounding out her resume of many other movies, several including Disney features, Lindsay Lohan also released her first album entitled Speak towards the end of 2004, which went platinum. With the help of her mother’s management, Lindsay is a highly popular young actress with a well rounded strong academic and extracurricular schedule. With a strong beginning under her belt in several areas, Lindsay Lohan will be able to continue in her success as she chooses.
