Carmen Electra: Beautiful and Talented

Carmen Electra, the well known model, actress and singer, was born Tara Leigh Patrick on April 20, 1972 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Although her birth name is similar to an adult film star, there is no relation. Carmen attended school in the suburbs just outside Cincinnati and then moved to California. This would prove to a good decision as she soon met the singer Prince. It was through his mentoring that she changed her name and signed her first recording contract.

By 1995 Carmen had begun her acting career, making appearances in several television programs. This was followed up by an appearance in “Playboy” which served to boost her career and allow her to gain increasingly important television roles on such shows as “Baywatch” and “Singled Out.” After two notorious appearances on the Howard Stern television show, her rise to fame continued escalating.

Carmen’s film career includes roles in Good Burger, Scary Movie and Starsky & Hutch. She has also released a series of exercise videos that combine low impact exercise with striptease moves.

Beyond her appearances on the silver screen and television, Carmen Electra has also become well known for her relationship with now ex-husband Dennis Rodman. She later married musician Dave Navarro; with whom she starred in a MTV reality show that documented their relationship.

In recent years Carmen Electra has become involved in the fight to find a cure for breast cancer, inspired by her mother’s battle with the disease, which she ultimately lost at the age of 61. Carmen Electra has since stated that she wished she had never had breast implants.
