Shannon Elizabeth: American Pie

Shannon Elizabeth was born Shannon Elizabeth Fadal on September 7, 1973 in Houston, Texas; however, she was raised in Waco, Texas. During high school she had a strong interest in tennis and considered a professional tennis career for a time. She first worked as a model before turning to a career as an actress. Before she was cast in the highly successful American Pie she appeared in numerous low-budget films, including Jack Frost. In 1999 she landed the breakthrough role in American Pie, which became highly successful at the box office. This led to further work, including Tomcats and Scary Movie. The same year American Pie was released she appeared in Playboy magazine. Elizabeth’s other film works include Cursed, Johnson Family Vacation, Love Actually and American Pie 2.

For ten years, Elizabeth was involved with Joseph D. Reitman. The couple was married for three years of that time before separating in the spring of 2005. Although it has never been proven, rumors persist that her husband leading Elizabeth to believe she had been caught in a sex tape as a practical joke for Ashton Kutcher’s series Punk’d may have lead to the divorce. She has also been linked with Michael Hyde, who is in the Air Force. Elizabeth, who has a strong interest in poker, has been labeled as a leading celebrity player. She is also involved in a non-profit animal rescue organization she founded, dedicated to rescuing and finding homes for homeless pets.
