Kirsten Dunst: No Dunce to ActingKirsten Dunst began her career at the tender age of 3 doing commercials, 70 in all to be exact. She also debuted in Woody Allen’s film New York Stories at the age of 7 in 1989. When her family moved to Los Angeles, Kirsten’s movie career blossomed. At just twelve years old, Kirsten Dunst broke into movies alongside Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise in the 1994 movie Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles in which she performed her first on-screen kiss. With this role Kirsten won the Saturn award as Best Young Actress and earned an MTV nomination for Best Breakthrough Performance. Over the next four years, Kirsten Dunst performed in several hits such as Little Women, Jumanji, and Small Soldiers. By the time she graduated high school in 2000, Kirsten Dunst had already established herself as a leading lady in Bring It On. In 2002 she landed the role of girlfriend to Peter Parker in Spider-Man and again in 2004 for Spider-Man 2.
