    A Oklahoma City bombing museum is dedicated at the Oklahoma City National Memorial. It commemorates the Oklahoma City bombing carried out by Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols in 1995. 168 people died in the bombing.
  • February 19th 1995 : Pamela Anderson: Married Tommy Lee after knowing him for only 96 hours
  • February 19th 1985 : First surviving artificial heart patient leaves the hospital
    William J. Schoeder became the first artificial heart recipient to leave the hospital. 18 days later he suffered a series of strokes leaving him in a vegatative state. He died in August 1986 having survived 620 days with the Jarvik 7 artificial heart.
  • February 19th 1964 : Paul Simon writes "The Sounds of Silence"
    Paul Simon writes the song "The Sounds of Silence" which would later propel him and his singing partner Art Garfunkel to stardom as the duet Simon & Garfunkel.

    The Donner Party is rescued. They became lost while trying to cross the Rockies during a freak snowstorm. It was noted by some rescuers that the survivors seemed to be well fed.
  • February 19th 1674 : England and the Netherlands sign the Peace of Westminster
    England and the Netherlands end the third Anglo-Dutch War by signing the Peace of Westminster. A provision of this agreement transfers the Dutch colony of New Amsterdam to England, which renamed it New York.
